FAQ

How much will I pay for Botox?
We offer both Botox and Dysport at our Charlotte, North Carolina office. The cost of these products differs as one unit of Botox is equivalent to three units of Dysport. Price also varies depending on a person's individual needs and areas being treated. Most patients will receive between 25 and 60 units of Botox, costing $13/unit. Our Dysport is priced at $4.33/unit.

What is the difference between Botox and Dysport?
Botox and Dysport are both injectable neurotoxins used for cosmetic purposes, primarily to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. They are derived from the same family of toxins produced by the bacterium Clostridium botulinum. Botox is often preferred for targeting deep wrinkles. Dysport is more suitable for large treatment areas like forehead wrinkles. Dysport typically shows effects a bit sooner and lasts longer than Botox. The duration of effect for Botox is around 3 to 4 months and Dysport is generally around 4 to 5 months. We offer both wrinkle reducing injections at our Charlotte office.

Will I see my Botox results instantly?
Your results for Botox will typically set in between 7 and 14 days following your treatment. Dysport effects will begin to set in within 2 to 4 days after your appointment.

What is the process for lip filler treatment?
Our lip filler process starts with a consultation to discuss your personal goals and what is achievable for your lips. Once we establish the right treatment plan for you, we will apply a topical numbing cream. The numbing cream will need about 30 to 45 minutes to take effect before we begin your lip filler treatment. Your Restylane® Kysse treatment only takes about ten to fifteen minutes. It can take up to two weeks for your lips to fully settle, with visible swelling for the first 48 hours after treatment. Your newly enhanced lips will last between 6 and 12 months.

What if I don't like my lip fillers?
If you decide after treatment that you're not pleased with your lip filler results, it can be dissolved using an enzyme called Hyaluronidase. Hyaluronidase is an injectable enzyme that breaks down hyaluronic acid, which is the main ingredient in most dermal fillers, including those used for lip augmentation.
